Akademi Dance Well at Holborn Community Association - Classical Monsoon
This dance performance is inspired by how the monsoon rains bring out feelings of rejuvenation, longing and love. Choreography and teaching by Jesal Patel & Priyanka Chauhan

Akademi’s Dance Well sessions at Holborn Community Association run every week. The group meet to improve their balance, strength and coordination and have fun through exploring South Asian dance. Jazzology Dance Collective - Dark Matter (We are made up of stars)
This performance draws on the parallels between Dark Matter - the undetected cosmic binding energy that prevents the galaxies from spinning out of control and Dance - our physical manifestation of that energy that keeps our spirit intact.

Jazzology is resident group based at WAC ARTS made up of dance teachers, ex performers, and dance devotees aged 16-60. Weekly open class for adults with dance experience is every Sunday during term time 12-2pm. Class is based on Matt Mattox Jazz technique and infused with varied styles and music

UK China Performing Arts Dance Academy - 1st. Moonlight | 2nd. The beauty of purity and peace
Moonlight is a segment of the dance drama The Eternal Wave. Dressed in smoke grey Qipao, waving palm fans and dancing in the alleyways, the dancers’ elegant movements perfectly capture the peacefulness of old Shanghai.

The beauty of purity and peace uses innovative techniques to capture the beauty of Concubine Yang and allows the audience to harmonise with the beauty and elegance of women in the Tang Dynasty.

UK China Performing Arts was founded in 2017. The dance academy promotes Chinese classical dance and Chinese folk dance in the UK. Through the unique and international language of dance, they build a bridge between different cultures and pass on the colourful Chinese culture to overseas arts enthusiasts.
