It’s an opportunity.
A place where transformation can happen.
RockBottom is a riveting exploration of one man’s journey into and out of the deep end of human existence.
Combining bold storytelling with highly physical choreography, RockBottom is a moving and incredibly honest self-portrait of personal struggle with depression and addiction.
Sharing the highs and lows in his semi-autobiographical story with humour, warmth and honesty, choreographer and performer Stuart Waters shines a light on the roles of resilience and support in recovery.
This thought-provoking night-out and is a reflective tool for everyone concerned with mental well-being.Please Note: This performance will take place in Studio 1.
Stuart Waters' vivid autobiographical solo RockBottom uses dance and theatre to address surviving one's own self-destructive impulses. It's a painfully revealing, highly physical look at mental health and that sometimes elusive thing called happiness in which he is, by turns, vulnerable, camp, ravenous, sensitive, intense, ecstatic, unhinged and, eventually, redeemed impressively, he takes us with him every step of the way...’ Donald Hutera
