Audition applications for Shift youth dance company are now open!

Do you love to create, move and perform? Are you looking to develop your choreographic and performance skills? If you’re aged 14-19 (school years 10 to 13) and want to build on your creative and technical dance skills in a warm and supportive environment, perhaps Shift is for you!

Shift meet every Thursday of term time for a full academic year, working alongside their rehearsal director Lucy Evans. Prior dance experience is desirable but not essential: we are looking for committed young artists who demonstrate creative potential and the ability to work well in a group and individually.

The audition will take place on Sat 7 Sep 2019, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Registration will start from 1pm; please arrive in time to start promptly at 1:30pm. The audition will consist of various tasks delivered by Lucy Evans and Ihsaan De Banya, followed by a 15 minutes chat in smaller groups with the panel. At 3.15pm, parents and carers should re-join their young dancers in the audition studio for a question and answer session with the panel.

Please note: Alternative audition dates and times will not be available. Unfortunately, due to the quantity of applicants and the availability of spaces, we will be unable to offer all applicants a place.
