Finding Ground

Sorry, you missed this event, SIGN UP to get information on our forthcoming shows

Whilst our venues are closed and live art is put on hold, through the spaces around us, we meet!

Finding Ground is a screendance installation project led by Jo Cork (founder of Jo Cork Dance and Digital) and second year students at London Contemporary Dance School.

Each individual film is the student’s response, whether this be comical, thoughtful or abstract, to their local, outdoor space. Offering you the chance to experience dance performance, in the open air, using technology, elements of augmented reality and QR Codes.

With 10 unique dance films dotted all over London (and some appearing as far wide as Asia), you can tap into a virtual dance performance through your mobile phones, into another world - where dancing bodies appear and performance continues!

Check out the map and plan your next walk or cycle route so you stumble come across one of the Finding Ground posters and QR codes. We dare you to enter this virtual world!

Through this work our students demonstrate, and celebrate, the tenacity and adaptability of the arts industries to keep going…Our performers find ground to share their work, and you find ground to engage with our arts sectors…

All films are available on location during the installation exhibition from Mon 1 Mar – Wed 31 Mar 2021.

After this all films will be available to view online on this site.

Performed and filmed by groups within households or support bubbles.
