EDGE Digital is an exciting evening premiering the films of new works for the postgraduate performance company. We commissioned independent filmmaker Joseph Edwards to collaboratively reimagine the choreography of Léa TirabassoA million eyes, and marikiscrycrycryTwo Tracks and a Mix, into digital filmic works and Holly Blakey has collaborated with FACT magazine to produce a film of her new work, PHANTOM.

This distinctive and original digital show reclaims the sensuality in dance, exploring the possibilities of tactility and congregation after a year of isolation, insisting on the need to test our own individual and group embodiments. In the pursuit of pleasure and enjoyment, the 14 dancers from across the globe take up space and their collective voice shouts ‘we are here, despite it all…’.

As part of this digital show, you will see behind the scenes footage of when The Place spoke to company members, the EDGE rehearsal director and the commissioned choreographers (as well as a peak into EDGE rehearsals). A fantastic insight into the creation of these works!
