Forecasting is based on a collection of amateur videos taken from the world’s largest videosharing website: YouTube.
Watch as a performer skilfully manipulates a laptop on the screen of which are shown YouTube videos that had been selected to meet the human size scale. From this simple criterion arises a set of spatial and temporal displacements. The screen becomes the site of intersection between the body of the performer and the two-dimensional world of images. The result is a dizzying hybrid experience, blurring the lines between the banality of everyday situations and new modes of narration.

FOR THE CURIOUS
Join us after the show for a Q&A with the artists.
What do you do when dealing with miscommunication and confusion is unavoidable?
Big questions, but don't worry Lewys Holt is here to help with his PowerPoint, well Keynote, presentation.
Using projections of stream-of-consciousness writing, improvised movement and discussions of communication, Lewys stands united with the anxious, the confused and those who overthink to face awkwardness head-on in this subtly humorous yet unnerving piece.
