Tylee Jones was born in Toronto Canada and discovered his passion for dance at the age of 16 years old. He found his love for modern and contemporary dance which then lead him to the School of Toronto Dance Theatre, where he recently graduated from in 2017. He has worked with many renowned choreographers from all over Canada, including Christopher House, Kate Alton, Apolonia Velasquez, Danny Grossman, Paul Andre Fortier and Robert Glumbek. He has also performed with Gadfly Dance Company for Dance Ontario at The Fleck Theatre and also had the pleasure to work with Paul Andre Fortier at the 2016 Nuit Blanche Festival titled October Sky's. Most recently he was part of the touring cast of Flying hearts 2018 with Theatre Direct, he also had the opportunity to be part of the 2017 Toronto Fringe Festival in Home Again and has taken part in many different intensive programmes, some of which are Kenny Pearl Summer Intensive, Social Growl Dance and Pro Arte Danza Apprentice Program. He is an award winning choreographer and was one of the recipients of the 2017 Winchester Street Prize award. Other than being a contemporary dance artist Tylee is also a freelance makeup artist.
