Tony Adigun began his career in the commercial dance industry, where he choreographed and toured the world with many leading recording artists. He is now a Creative director, curator, choreographer, dancer, educator and mentor. As the founder and Artistic Director of the cutting edge hip-hop company Avant Garde Dance, Tony continues to steer his ship into uncharted creative territory, with the ethos “innovate, never replicate”.
Tony has a razor sharp eye for composition, musicality and form, which has allowed him to develop a unique dance vocabulary that has gained respect and admiration from the dance industry. With his original style of abstract street dance theatre the company have performed works at Sadler's Wells (Breakin' Convention), Stratford Circus, Brighton Dome, The Place, Barbican, Southbank Centre, Hackney Empire and the Royal Opera House and created a variety of site-specific work including in an abandoned bunker in Dalston Junction in London.
