Silvia Chernova

Silvia has a degree in architecture, and it is this discipline that she has been working in for several years and where she has been promiscuously exploiting the word space. What she has learned so far about space, is that it only acquires meaning when people are in it, and that everything people do in it is political. Once we zoom in on what they do, how they come together, cope, love, play, and ache, theorising often falls short; it is a scale best read immediately, through breath, touch, of course dance. I would like to learn as much of its language as I can, see where the inwards and outwards production of space meet, how far bodies span and where they end, and if somewhere at that point I can create work with soul and significance.
