Ruby is originally from Kent, where she started dancing from the age of twelve. There she was part of Leo Dance Company. An inclusive company that aimed to promote an unprejudiced society through performance. This sparked her interest in choreography and inclusivity in dance. Ruby earned her BA (Hons) in Choreography at Middlesex University. Here she collaborated with multiple art forms including music, fine art, architecture, animation and film. Including a site specific piece shown at Chelsea UAL. She realised her love for film and framing the moving body. She hopes that the MA in Screendance course will help make dance more accessible to wider audiences and push the art form further in a more digital world.
