A new direction for LCDS (26/11/2020)
As a founding and contributory member of the Conservatoire of Dance and Drama, The Place and London Contemporary Dance School is immensely proud of its achievements in championing and developing specialist conservatoire education in the UK.
Given the changes in the Higher Education landscape, The Place and London Contemporary Dance School has decided to pursue a new future. This will involve a registration, either as an Independent Higher Education Provider (HEP) or entering contractual arrangements with another independent HEP registered with Office for Students, from 2023-24 onwards.
Our current students will complete their studies under registration of the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama while students enrolling in 21/22 will complete their education under registration with The Place or another HEP.
We are excited about this new direction and will continue our collaborative relationship with the five member schools. We remain deeply committed to providing a high quality, specialist contemporary dance education and training for existing and future students whilst supporting their vita contribution to the cultural life of the UK.
