Rebecca is originally from Romania, bringing with her a background in dance. Alongside dance she pursued her passion for photography, which resulted into a dance photography exhibition in Bucharest in 2015. She completed her BA (Hons) in Ballet Education at the Royal Academy of Dance in London, where she taught ballet and contemporary dance.
She has been part of Semaphore ballet company where she had the opportunity to collaborate with different artists and explore her artistic abilities as performer, photographer and choreographer. In her final year during the BA she developed an interest in perspectives over the portrayal of women in dance, which has informed her curiosity about the multi-faced lenses of viewing dance.
She is keen, inquisitive and inspired by the intersection of dance, film and choreography as they come under the umbrella of visual aesthetics. Rebecca aspires to create her own visions of aesthetic beauty and share them through the medium of motion on film.
