Mary Sol trained in ballet and contemporary dance from the age of eight, she later trained at Conservatorio de Granada (Spain) for ten years. After that, she did a four year degree in Pedagogy of Dance. After graduating, she decided to expand her knowledge of choreography, so she undertook further training focused on different methods of performance through acting, physical theatre, pantomime, different contemporary dance techniques, acrobatics, circus, video-dance etc.
Since Mary Sol moved to London three years ago, she has worked as a freelance performer/dancer performing in the following works: Rewild, a theatrical concert by Livia Rita (Barbican Center, Richmix, 2017 Swiss Tour and performances in London, Ugly Duck); Liturgie, a reinvented Dance-Opera devised by Spectra Ensemble in collaboration with Disconnect Dance, (By Other Means Art Gallery and Tet a te Opera Festival at The Place); Placebo Funeral, a performance project Changing Minds (Southbank Centre); CAIRO, a video-dance (Richmix) in collaboration with FARM1027 directed by Danilo Moroni. She also works as a dance teacher, and Sport Massage Therapist since she got her ITEC Level 3 certificate last summer. Mary Sol is passionate about cooking and healthy nutrition, a subject which she trys to combine through her personal blog Dance Me Nuts!
