Madli Paves is a dance lover and movement enthusiast from Estonia. In 2015 she finished her undergraduate studies in Choreography in Tallinn University, having spent an additional year in the Iceland University of the Arts. Since, she has been involved in exploring the poetics of contemporary dance, alongside using movement research and performance as tools for observing dance. Madli is interested in the ephemerality of dance but still how it has a long lasting impact on people and power to communicate. The DAP postgraduate programme is Madli's attempt to situate her practice in the contemporary art world. She hopes it will also shake and challenge her current understanding of dance and allow for inspiring collaborations to emerge.
